The detour, measured
The fastest drive from Union Station to the amphitheater follows US 6, the 6th Avenue Freeway, past the Sheridan Boulevard exit. Union Station is 4.5 miles and about 9 minutes by car from the store. From the exit, it is about 0.1 miles to our door.
Add those legs together and compare them with driving straight through, and the stop costs about 0.3 miles and about 1.4 minutes of driving. Time at the counter is extra, which is why ordering ahead matters more than the miles do.
From our exit to the rocks
From the store, the drive to the venue runs 6.4 miles west on the 6th Avenue Freeway, then I-70, County Highway 93 and West Alameda Parkway. You get back on the same freeway you got off.
Make the stop short
Build your order on the live menu before you leave downtown and it is waiting for in-store pickup. Check the day before you plan the stop:
- Thursday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
- Sunday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Monday through Wednesday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Sunday through Wednesday we close at 7:00 PM, so on those nights stop on the way out rather than on the way back.
Enjoy it after the show
The amphitheater is an open-air venue near Morrison, owned and operated by the city of Denver. Colorado law restricts smoking marijuana to private areas only, and you cannot openly smoke cannabis in public. Plan to enjoy it at home or wherever you are staying, if private use is allowed there, and do not drive after using cannabis.
