A small city with a short drive
It is a home rule city in Jefferson County with 5,005 residents at the 2020 census. Denver sits on its east side. Lakewood wraps its south and west, and Wheat Ridge is to the north.
The name comes from the water: the city was named for its lakefront location at Sloan's Lake. The lake once extended into the city and now lies entirely within Denver, just to its east. The town was incorporated on November 5, 1904, which makes it an old neighbor of the boulevard we sit on.
Car or bike from the Public Market
The Edgewater Public Market at 5505 West 20th Avenue is 1.6 miles and about 4 minutes by car from the store. The drive runs 1.35 miles on Sheridan Boulevard and a short hop on West 20th Avenue, so coming to us you head east on 20th and turn south on the boulevard.
By bike, the market is 1.7 miles and about 12 minutes from the store. For a single pickup the car is faster.
Pickup beats browsing when the trip is this short
When the drive is this short, the slowest part of the visit is deciding. Settle that before you leave: build an order on the live menu and it is waiting for in-store pickup. Online orders placed after business hours are ready the next day.
