These patients often suffer severe chronic pain and muscle spasms, along with paralysis of the legs or both legs and arms. Many find marijuana effectively relieves both spasticity and pain. They are commonly only prescribed large doses of opiates, tranquilizers, and other debilitating and dangerous drugs.
